Automotive Ghostblogging (Jim Butler Chevrolet)

A white Kia passenger car is parked near a fence and a body of water.

Here's something many people don't know: I was a car blogger for a year. Yay, freelance life!

FarFetched Studios hired me to ghostwrite an ongoing series of blog posts for several of its automotive clients in St. Louis, Columbia, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and beyond. Until that point, I'd never researched any automotive information except what I'd needed for my own car, so this was a challenge that I looked forward to (and, honestly, was a little terrified about).

My agency liaison sent me documents about new models, major awards and brand commercials, and I turned those into 20 easy-to-read SEO blog posts per month for Jim Butler Chevrolet, Jim Butler Kia, Landmark Fiat, Landmark Dodge, JT's Jeep, Maxwell Volvo and others.

Below, I've included two full-length samples of my work. Sadly, CMS changes have made it difficult to find others.

Rally Package Gives 2015 Chevy Silverado New Stripes

The Chevy Silverado just got a little more distinctive.

All new for the 2015 model year, the Chevrolet Silverado is adding an appearance package called the Rally Edition for double cab and crew cab LT and LS models. The new package will add thick black rally stripes on the hood and on the tailgate, giving the truck an extra-sporty look.

Chevy also is adding black accents to the rest of the vehicle, making black alloy wheels, black mirror caps and door handles available in the package. The front has changes, too, with a black Chevy bowtie proudly resting upon the body-colored grille.

The Rally Edition lives up to its name in excitement and power, too, as these trucks will feature the standard 4.3-liter V-6 engine with 285 hp and 305 lb-ft of torque or the optional 5.3-liter V-8 with 355 hp and 383 lb-ft of torque.

Orders for the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado Rally Edition begin in September. Swing by Jim Butler Chevrolet, the number-one Chevy dealer in St. Louis, to order yours today!

Kia Achieves Highest Total Quality Score

There's a reason the Kia Optima and Kia Soul are two of our most popular vehicles here at Jim Butler Kia - quality. The design, the handling and the safety of the Optima and the Soul are second to none.

Turns out everyone else is picking up on that fact, too.

The 2014 Kia Optima and 2014 Kia Soul recently earned top marks in Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Index Study. Kia puts a lot of pride into its well-built cars, so obtaining the highest Total Quality score of all mainstream brands is an achievement to celebrate. Moreover, the Soul captured the best score in the small multi-function car segment for the second year in a row.

“Kia has always embraced its challenger spirit with products that disrupt their segment by offering head-turning design elements, premium features and cutting-edge technology, all at an outstanding value,” said Michael Sprague, executive vice president of sales and marketing, KMA. “The results of Strategic Vision’s Total Quality Index Study are tangible evidence of the progress Kia has made through our long-term strategy to strengthen the brand, concentrate on quality and elevate the ownership experience for Kia buyers.”

We appreciate when car experts talk about Kia's special features and design highlights, but the Total Quality awards are special because they're influenced by real car buyers themselves. Strategic Vision surveyed more than 38,000 new car owners to measure reliability, vehicle problems, driving excitement and other emotional measures involved in the ownership experience.

Find out for yourself why so many car buyers are enjoying Kia, and test drive the Optima and Soul at Jim Butler Kia today.
